       @layla @Bec is quite right. A lot of veterans have been distracted from our usual posting habits by wanting to help welcome and orientate the deluge of newbies. But also, because of the decentralized way the fediverse works, and because you're #NewHere, you're probably seeing more of what other newbies are talking about than anything else. I suggest you ignore what's 'trending', and do lots of hashtag searches on topics that interest you.
