       moved my personal nginx server (for sharing screenshots and shit) to a new machine and somehow fucked up the config so it 403s on the root index.html but everything else is perfectly goodthis isn't worth fixing, I'm just mildly baffled

       I've always hated the format/syntax/whatev of nginx.conf but lighttpd isn't cool anymore and I'm not using caddy

       @ro I think it wasn't broken until midway of me adapting my debian 7 (really) config into ubuntu 22.04 so it's probably my fault for typoing something

       @proto huh, not selinux... then the most likely reason is that www-data (that's the ubuntu nginx user right?) doesn't have access to the file or one of the directories on the way to it.
