       For many people in the #fediverse , if you follow or mass follow people who are approving follow requests like myself and you have not posted anything ...not even an #introduction You will likely be silently rejected. Please fill out your #profile and post a thing or two. We are a welcoming, but cautious bunch. Many of us want a safe area to get to know fellow humans and not be marketed to or harassed.        @PresGas New here. Just wondering how this event will scale, and how monetisation will work.Not that I interact a lot with ads, but I get that a revenue stream is needed for long term viability.Is there paid work for the moderation staff that are freshly available. #Twitter

       @dnadecay it is meant to scale horizontally not commercially. That's about all I can say. You can stand up your own instance and ask for donations or pay out of pocket. It is not meant to be exploitative or monetized or marketed. It is meant to be organic and social.
