@Ricardus, if you're really unsure, or for anybody else unsure, it's because the SDF instance is surprisingly high up on the list of available instances when you are first signing up on the official Mastodon app.

@Ricardus Because everything is falling over due to overuse. I put my professional account on c.im the other day.....haven't been able to access it in two days. Site just doesn't always load.

@Ricardus for me, at least, when signing up, it was one of two on the first page with a simple enough name that wasn't obviously dedicated only to one specific special interest.
