@james after twitter did a rumbly thing in last weeks, and mastodon in conversation came up, I was interested in that - and this thing (mastodon instance (?)) had ruby logo and it seamed the place that I could call home.

@james Oh no 🙁 that's annoying. Would you ever consider repurposing empty/dormant accounts (e.g. changing the email/password of the existing account) to effectively transfer ownership? I appreciate the answer is probably a "no" but thought it can't hurt to ask.

@james I created my account in 2018, but I can't recall what the impetus was. I might've just seen the instance was created and wanted to try it out, but I suspect there was some Twitter policy change around the time that I didn't like.In any event, I very much like the federated model here better. Now, if only we could get open source projects to use Matrix instead of Slack and Discord...
