       @Dr_Barlos I'm on a new playthrough, planning to 100% it and actually engage all the systems and it's really something... Everything for a 10/10 rpg is there, but they it's cobbled together is just messy. One of the strange cases where the whole is less than it's parts.Ngl i didn't even know the game had a shitload of endgame dungeons until some weeks ago.

       @FiveStarExistentialNightmares I think we all have an eastern game guilty-pleasure like this. The Asians go all in on style over function, their plots are just ridiculous, but you can really tell it was a labour of love, lots of devs and artists gave their all to make something cool. All the office politics and bureaucracy in the west made this impossible past a certain point in time, we will never have a western hot-mess like Thief ever again, since people can't live in a working office, working 50% over paid hours, getting drunk/high to make cobweb fragile deadlines.

       @Rotten_Ronnie FF 15 is literally testament to how fucked the japanese way of doing things can get when a turbo autist like Nomura is at the helm.16 is gonna be tight tho. Yoshida is the last competent producer left at square, but damn he's god-tier at getting projects DONE.

       @RupertvonRipp @Dr_Barlos FF15 is strange in the way that it's pretty much a 50/50 split between an open world camping/road trip adventure in the first half and then a super linear action JRPG in the second half. The story is a hot mess of an anime on YouTube, a movie, a pixelated 2D brawler, 4 episodes of DLC and the game itself all building on each other despite the story actually being FF1's "good guy stops darkness" story.The combat is chaotic as all hell at first, it's really one of a kind and most people played the game by just healing through all encounters without engaging in the genuinly fun combat mechanics like spell crafting and weapon compositions in your team.Also there is a load of content the game just never tells you about. My first playthrough was nice, but i was constantly asking myself "wtf am i even doing right now?". Now that i know where the game is building towards i can actually appreciate the open world a lot more.The characters are all top-tier. It doesn't seem like it at first, but the boys will hook you too. Especially the Ignis DLC turn him from the cool dude with the glasses into the absolute biggest hero of the story, total chad.I can only recommend it if you have the nerve to unravel what the game is actually trying to acomplish, because its design is very unclear at points and if you really want to immerse yourself into a good ol'fashioned fantasy story with a huge focus on bonding with your teammates who all look like japanese pop stars.
