For the first time ever, #FRZ is running on a cluster of servers. We've had PostgreSQL off on its own for a couple of years now, but the rest of the service running on the same VPC. As of now, we have a second Sidekiq server running on another host, sharing PostgreSQL and Redis with the original. Basically, we've doubled our capacity.Tonight there may be some celebration.

@packetcat Neither. It's on an on-prem server with scads of RAIDed storage with a TB of SSD cache in front of it.

@KillerBean @steve_zeke It was a pleasant, almost completely offline evening.

@ottovaughn Nah. I’ve just broken so many things over the years that I generally know how to fix them now. 😀

@tek I can relate to that! Its the sysadmin journey of finding new and exciting things to be overwhelmed by, completely break, and then eventually fix. Its not that we're smarter than everyone about "technology", we're just more adventurous and willing to deal with broken shit that we don't fully understand (yet).
