@flow It's update of what runs on servers. Everyone who manages an instance has to update theirs to provide the new features for their users. Instances keep talking each others no matter their version.Native clients are another thing, think of them as web browsers specialized to browse the Mastodon network (but also Pleroma instances that provides the same API of Mastodon for native clients to connect to them).There are official native clients simply called "Mastodon" for Android/iOS.
