I'm probably gonna get a Pixel 6a soon, which aftermarket OS should I install? How is MicroG in practice? I don't really use my phone for anything other than browsing the web, reading RSS, watching YouTube with NewPipe but Google Maps is pretty useful.

@crunklord420 I'm using lineageos with no g(ay)apps but the experience with microg should be similar. All apps you might need can be gotten through fdroid or downloaded straight from the git repo (newpipe). As for maps, I use either OSMAnd~ or Organic Maps for travelhttps://f-droid.org/en/packages/app.organicmaps/ I prefer organic maps over osmand since it feels less clunkyAnd if you can't find an address just pop into google maps from your browser, find the address and then find the closest one to it in OSMAnd/OrganicMaps
