@KoraunuiPakeha haha, absolutely fair! I currently sing with a wonderful smallish all female acapella choir but am open to other kinds. I’m a particular fan of madrigals and complex multi part harmonies. I can sight sing decently and hold my own voice part. A choir that is flexible on attendance would be good as I have young kids. I’d love any recommendations.

@Molly I sing with Glamaphones - Rainbow choir, unauditioned, at times we're done some challenging pieces. Flexible, and friendly, about $150 per term. I think the Wellington Community Choir is a similar deal. Partner also sings with Orpheus, serious, auditioned, and expect attendance but partner's found it friendly. Brent Stewart is a bit of a phenomenon being very good choir conductor, and also good at ensuring the experience is good

@KoraunuiPakehaDo you know if the Newtown Community Choir is still a thing? If so, this could be good to check out @Molly .

@strypey @Molly Not sure, but I can ask around. Also a number are listed on the NZCF page for Wellington affiliated choirs https://nzcf.org.nz/regions/wellington/?member_choirs
