       Take a minute longer to think through the consequences of having employers run “instances.” We’ve got a slim moment here to protect our ability to organize and engage without surveillance and I’d say we need to fight like hell for it.

       @mistermonster @jenniferclenabecause sometimes we want to hear the POV of an institution. maybe you want to do customer service but not connect that to your personal account. or politicians want to speak as an elected representative vs a candidate, and then as a regular person once they've retired. Especially on the fedi where it's all one network, after we kill Facebook after we kill Twitter, I'd expect more people wanting additional accounts focused on just friends and family stuff.

       @wjmaggos @jenniferclena yeah maybe. Personally I wouldn't want to get on the internet to engage with coworkers or bosses or even family. I can do that in real life. I see why people that need a public presence would need it.

       @wjmaggos @mistermonster @jenniferclena Seems to me that establishment bot instances makes more sense than having an instances designed for the use of rank and file members. #Europe has two #Mastodon instances that work quite well for this.
