@Maescool check out @tek @jerry @drwhax Definitely check out the #infosec hashtag and just follow a bunch of random people there — this will get you started. Follow liberally, unfollow remorselessly when some account turns out not much fun.

@Maescool Not sure if this is available on Mastodon v3.5.3 but on 4.0.0 (which is currently a release condidate but already deployed on various Mastodon servers) you can follow hashtags as well. This is not yet supported on the official Mastodon app, but it is available from the web UI.

@meneer I know, and that feature has always been there. I just thought I'd also mention the ability to follow hashtags and have related posts show up in your home feed directly (instead of having to enable the advanced web interface and pin each hashtag to a feed of its own).@Maescool @helix2301 @rysiek @tek @jerry @drwhax

@tobiaalberti I did notice the 4.0.0rc1 in some instances, but I'm running my stuff in docker, so I'm waiting for the official release before I update..Yeah I could git clone and docker build the main repo manually, but I'd like stable releases for stuff like this..Also, I do like the separate columns for tags, just like tweetdeck :)@meneer @helix2301 @rysiek @tek @jerry @drwhax
