       So, my pinephone turns off every time I take a picture with it.Not immediately, but at some time beyond the point that I can be bothered to monitor it.Always.#pinephone

       @deftpunk That sounds odd. I have had #Phosh crashes after using the camera with #Megapixels, but it never shut off - Phosh just restarted and running apps would no longer run. Which distribution are you using?

       @linmob #PostmarketOS That said, now that I have attempted to monitor it, it seems to have stopped. Previously, it was like clockwork.

       @deftpunk @linmob maybe it's a power supply issue... can you reproduce it if you max out the CPU utilization?

       Sigh. Well. Now that I actually try to investigate, it does not shut down. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯I had stopped using my camera because of this.

       Megapixels does run at 30% CPU for...a very long time. Even after post-processing is done, and after the UI is locked. The phone gets hot. My theory *had* been that it was getting too hot and shutting down. It didn't run the battery out. I'd start it again, and the battery would report full.

       OK, so the bit I missed was that #postmarketos released an update that I must have installed on autopilot: https://postmarketos.org/blog/2022/10/23/v22.06.3-release/This included a kernel update. I can't prove that this fixed anything, but is certainly coincidental.

       @craftyguy @linmob Good idea. I'll try that.

       @craftyguy @linmob Yeah, so I did a quick test with stress-ng -a 4 - not bothering to actually figure out how to use it properly. It drove the load up past 250 before everything stopped responding. It wasn't CPU or IOwait or memory...just scheduling all the processes that killed it.Anyway, the result was still probably equivalent to what I had previously observed. With the screen off, I couldn't coax into responding. I couldn't tell if it was off or on.

       @craftyguy @linmob Anyway, so I'm guessing that my claim of the phone "turning off" is unreliable at best. What I can say is that it was totally unresponsive such that it was unclear if it was off, or just not responding to any touch or button input.
