The truth is, git is extremely simple to use, as long as you don't do anything with it.

@CaptMorgan Are you trying to imply git is difficult to use *even* if you don't do anything with it?You may be right. ๐Ÿ˜‚

@ParadeGrotesque Really hate git and itsThere is exactly one way of doing this which does completely F up everything and we're not going to tell you which one that is.

@ParadeGrotesque Just curious: may I ask why git is bad? Never used it, but seems to be the only way to get Neatroff on OpenBSDโ€ฆ

@ParadeGrotesque i find it very simple to use with the sole exception being when I tried to submit a change to git itself. Their repos and the policies surrounding them appear to be designed to make you think itโ€™s 1992 again, when you could play the exciting game of Sending Patches By Email

@ParadeGrotesque git is nice compared to what it replaced. I am not nostalgic for CVS and Subversion, and abandoning Team Foundation Server in favor of git is one of the few decisions Microsoft made that I approve.

@starbreaker @ParadeGrotesque Same here, I was able to grasp git basic complexity when I was still doing trial and error with Subversion. I'm not sure if it's the software itself or its pretty good documentation, but the comparison is striking.

@ParadeGrotesque TBH, about 95% of my use of git is "git clone https://example.com/foobar.git", and about 4% is "git pull".
