@Ciaraioch Your Fediverse* account is like your library card, which you use to access the local library (instance) of your choosing. That library talks to all the other libraries (except the ones they decide they hate) and they frequently exchange books to stay up to date. Except you're encouraged to write in the books (post) and inter-library exchange (ActivityPub) happens really quickly. Also there are stickers you can get your library to provide for free and they're annoying
