@GettingCooked I watch a YouTube channel called "Townsends" that does American frontier stuff. They built a pretty nice cobb oven and framed the inside with bent stick that were cut into slats and tied together to make the shape. They burnt the wood out as well.Another channel "My Self Reliance" used sand to support the cobb. He just dug the sand out after it hardened. His oven was in an outdoor kitchen not dissimilar to yours. More rustic, but not dissimilar.

@ScottALavender I know of both channels; the Townsends one is more of an earthen oven, as it's just clay and straw if I'm not mistaken; and the other one is how I made my first oven. My new one, God willing, will be considerably more adavanced than either of their designs, as well as my first attempt.
