Anime is the antithesis of corporate art. As humans, we read faces and especially eyes. Anime has large, exaggerated eyes, symmetrical faces, smooth yet expressive features. It encapsulates and reflects beauty, humanity, individuality, passion.Corporate art makes the faces small, the limbs huge and misshapen, the figures distorted and sexless and asymmetrical. It's dehumanizing. It turns everyone into clay golems with no faces, no feelings, just big arms to do the work of the jew overlords.Anime is not a suitable style for drawing religious icons. It is very good at what it does though and there's a reason why it's sensual beyond just coomer reasons. We are beautiful, we are sexual beings, we have passion and wisdom and morals and conflict as individuals, and that's what it depicts.@Eschatology here's another one, thank you friend.

@Saber @Eschatology that’s what those remind me of. the shapes of corporate art always reminded me of something, but i could never put my finger on it. they really are golems.

@bleedingphoenix @Eschatology @Saber It's actually impressive, corporate art manages to look even more creepy than this, both by itself and the fact that it's meant to represent real people. Corporate art/"humans of flat" or whatever we want to call this should make anyone with a functioning amygdala feel uncomfortable, even people who never stopped to think about these things or can't quite figure out why.

@deadheat @Eschatology @Saber the point of corporate art is to dehumanize the people it's targeting at. it's deliberate and built into the design, and using it in workspaces allows it to be internalized through repetition and osmosis. it's not everything, but it is still extremely potent with memetics.

@bleedingphoenix @deadheat @Saber It also internalizes psychological neoteny in the viewer. Soft shapes and colors are used to appeal to children.

@Eschatology @deadheat @Saber that explains the nonsensical colors throughout, never realized that. also in a more dull area like a workspace, it would also stand out and catch the idle eye, increasing the visual appeal.

@bleedingphoenix @deadheat @Saber Correct. Notice how much of corporate advertising uses very bright colors and rounded models.

@Saber @Eschatology Ask any artist: hands, faces, and anatomy are what they spend 80% of their time on in any drawing. Globohomo art removes the need for anatomic accuracy, and normalizes shitty hands and faces. It's an aesthetic tailored for cranking out low-effort drawings in the style of factory work. It is, by design, soulless.
