really dont understand why we spent x years at the university learning and using shitty proprietary EDAs like OrCAD and Altium when KiCAD exists and existed back then too. This is a much more useful skill, plus it works on linux

@deshipu it did crash a lot in version 5, but since 6 I didn't have a single crash. What does that though is freecad, it crashes almost every session

@piggo yes, it's great, you can just drag and drop things, make footprints and board outline in inkscape, and don't have to jump through hoops to have the pcb look exactly how you want, without having to use a user interface optimized for a light pen
