Geez - the process to bulk-delete your past Tweets is cumbersome at best. That doesn't surprise me, but it does vex me.

@alexstandiford I do a LOT. Most of the sites you can get around hijinks by logging in every few days to avoid the 3200 limit. Worst case is just uploading the archive... It really gets tricky when, for example, you just want to delete all RTs (did that the other day) where I had to pay for a few $ to do it

@chris Yeah, I ended up paying out of pocket using an archive. It's going to take ten hours to completely wipe my feed. Crazy.

@chris I've opted to take the lead on it. It kind-of feels like I'm trying to tow this line that just needs severed. Like on-again, off-again with someone and I just need to move on. If enough people in #WordPress do it, I genuinely believe they'll all come around eventually.I'm hoping more people at least come poke around. In the meantime, I have plenty of other ways to connect with the community aside from Twitter.

@alexstandiford @jmichaelward I haven't used Matrix/Element but Signal was simple enough to get my folks on it and has replaced 90% + of all messaging I do. We even have a WP group where we expire everything after 1 day and it's really been awesome for a few years now.

oh i guess it doesn't parse the archive output, that's what my old perl script did. this one just keeps chewing away 200 tweets at a time in a loop until the API returns nothing fitting the specified time range
