Can anyone recommend some good #windows #PowerShell resources for code examples and references?Yes, it has to be PowerShell. That is not up for debate. :-(

@gme Try Get-Help! For examples, I love Lee Holmes’ PowerShell Cookbook.

@gme the best resource I find is Microsoft Learn and if you want to invest more time then PluralSight is brilliant. It’s not free but is worth it.

If I’m being honest I don’t know what I’m looking for. (Not trying to be flippant I genuinely don’t know).I’m trying to figure out how to iterate through a directory of ZIP files.I need to unzip those files. And I need to rename the files in those ZIP files with the CRC32 checksum of the file name.I know how to do this in Linux (bash) quite easily.Need to figure out a way to do this in PowerShell. The thing that is bothering me the most is I know that ZIPs actually contain an index with the CRC32 of every file that’s in the archive but apparently there’s no way to access that data so I have to compute those values again after the files have been extracted.I think what I need is a Rosetta Stone. I vaguely remember stumbling upon a Programming Rosetta Stone 15+ years ago but that was way before PowerShell. So far Stack Exchange is helping a little.

@gme You may have already seen this, but Adam Driscoll is a really great PowerShell resource and he put together this Bash to PowerShell cheat sheet: https://blog.ironmansoftware.com/daily-powershell/bash-powershell-cheatsheet/I've also pulled a *TON* of examples from Adam Bertram and his team (https://adamtheautomator.com/) and Jeff Hicks (https://jdhitsolutions.com/blog/). Typically when I have a wheel to invent I've found that they've already invented it or something like it.
