I like chudbuds ... they don't seem near as hard/far as poast .. and they block the loliAnother reason I'm glad I run my own instance. People of Fedi; if you want to see the real fedi, run your own instance! Also thank you Stux for not blocking me. Blocking people just for associating is dumb and low cognition. The real fedi is only visible on an instance of one. You will likely be blocked for even the tamest views that are a little bit heterodox. But not blocking a bunch of people just because gives you a much more balanced view in general.The only way to win is not to block.

@djsumdog @MischievousTomato @ehhh @pettanko mediaproxy should be enabled on all instances (unless they're single-user, where mediaproxy gives you little gain) because not only does it add a layer of privacy between users and remote instances (some potentially hostile toward data collection), it also reduces remote requests for media overall so instances arent getting slammed all the time, and it prevents targeted attacks toward users if an admin decides to serve malicious media. last point is theoretical but possible, and it's a good consideration if you think you're at high risk
