       @adarsh @baweaver @joshuap @getajobmike right now it's about $650/year with hosting and domain (short .socials are more expensive, I learned 😅).However, if everyone who's signing up this week does start genuinely using it (and hopefully they will!), I expect that to increase steadily as storage gets consumed.My ideal would be lots of small donors, a real community-owned instance, and if/when we have a surplus of donation funds, we do something charitable with the excess. Something like that.

       @getajobmike been thinking about this in the background.I _could_ set up something like `supporters.ruby.social` with a bunch of `rel=me` links to support handles, and then you'd be able to add that as a verified link.It's not as visible as a blue check, but might be worth something? 😉
