Some interesting updates coming to Xfce in the new version, most Xfce users though (that I somehow imagine are using Debian 11) will have them later this decade :ablobcatcoffee: https://www.debugpoint.com/xfce-4-18-features/?amp=1

@astrisk cool changes, and as for debian (stable), it will most likely be like in 2025.The Debian fan in me is trying to avoid start a flame war of rolling vs stable distros ;)

@brunomiguel I'll reply: If you want a Debian based bleeding distro with the regular breakage just use Sid :pThe job of the Debian team is to deliver a stable system to it's end users. After it is in the hands of the users they can do whatever they want with it, even breaking it! @astrisk

@maryjane I used Sid a long, long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. I had an Nvidia at the time, so you can guess what used to happen frequently :blobrofl: @astrisk

@maryjane with Arch, I haven't had many issues. I did have my install completely borked due to an update to Grub, and that annoyed the crap out of me. I was actually forced to reinstall (not even recovering the Grub install on a chroot worked) and took the opportunity to use systemd-boot instead because I have no need for dual-boot @astrisk

@brunomiguelI learned how to chroot because of Arch :pJokes aside, both Arch and Debian are cool distros, they serve different use cases and needs. @astrisk

@maryjane true! If I ever leave Arch, I'll probably go to Debian Stable (maybe Testing) or Ubuntu LTS @astrisk
