To me, the most important thing on Twitter were the people. The ones using it and the ones building it. I interacted with many and met some of them. They were such a positive force for policy and transparency in social media. What they did for academic research was amazing.Musk is laying off half off them. It makes me sad. For the people and what it means for the platform.I am here if anyone wants to talk. https://collectiveaction.tech/2022/a-layoff-guide-for-tweeps/

@Luca I live and work in San Francisco...my family is from Bay Area since the 1840s...and I'm disgusted by this takeover. As I understand, this is in egregious violation of California's labor laws. If this abuse continues, I'd like to see Governor Newsom press charges on behalf of the state of California and all workers.

@Luca My question: if Twitter will still work without 50% of the employees. What was their work? Is it now done by the other 50%?
