@jeffcliff @bot I read the Koran, once, in jail. Historically, a lot of the things made sense, for the time that it came out. It read, to me, more as a book of statements, guidelines, and concrete - cohesive - rules, than the stories of the other Judaic religions' texts - which(by my reading, anyways) seem to leave a lot more open to the interpretation of the reader.

(While there are quranists, somewhere, i have yet to run across one)Also, they don't usually tell you when you read the qur'an but there's abrogation within it -- if you read it twice you might start to notice that Muhammed #ﷺ sometimes says one thing, then says another...but these things happen in time and the Qur'an is not in order chronologically so you have to know the history to reverse engineer what he's actually saying. It's a lot different in order.( I've read now 4? translations of the qur'an and all the sunni, shi'a & most of the ibadi ahadith...next: fiqh )
