       @hankg yes and I'm not entirely sure about the whole story of "why" but he got abuse reported so much and for no reason that instance admins couldn't handle it anymore.It was heck of a pile up. Other people who pay more attention to drama can tell you better details.On a personal note, I don't like Will Wheaton - but that event was just weird.

       @mike nah Shatner tried the fediverse super early and gave up just as fast because he hated how other people could register the same username on other instances. He didn't like how his username can't be unique across the entire network.I wonder if he ever worked out that email is also like that. :blobcateyes:
