       @mia_miau i'm not wise to the state of GUI libraries in Go these days. there were some attempts when i still used it though us desktop programmers are a dead breed :blobcatmelt:

       Like for real.Why is there no client that supports strong filters and collapses favorites per toot?Why I am not able to save drafts?Why is there no good way to see Federated-TL of another instance, or even search on another instance.Why are threads so badly represented in most clients?Why is it such a big hassle to switch users or go to lists?And why... why dose almost no client implements the follower request approval?Most clients just got stuck at about 60% 😡

       @mia_miau i can answer at least one thing:> Why is there no good way to see Federated-TL of another instance, or even search on another instance.The Clients are built around your local server, you can theoretically querying informations directly from different servers (at least other masto or masto compatible servers) but other servers can actually prevent that, thats not uncommon.The same also applies to the search...What you theoretically can do is filter the timelines of the local server for specific instances, that would work much more reliably, but would put a lot more load on the local server (at least when initially loading the current timeline), since the backend has not been optimized for such tasks...
