I really hate APFS. Me scambling to delete files because my 4TB drive is somehow down to 18G free. I delete about 200G of stuff, still not showing up as free. Reboot. Now I have 1TB free. WTF? (And no, the space wasn't tied up in Time Machine snapshots). #macOS

@davewoodx I wonder if that's APFS or just macOS hanging on to massive caches or something that go away on reboot? Whatever it is, though, I also hate it...

I’ve heard it said that “nothing is actually deleted until your computer shuts off”.Can’t remember where I heard this. Maybe it’s just a computer nerd urban legend. But I’ve seen space on my computer free up after rebooting, even with nothing in the recycle bin.
