       Debirdify by Manuel Eberl (@pruvisto) is a really handy new tool that looks for Mastodon accounts referenced in the Twitter bios of folks you follow. You do need to authenticate it, but it's very explicit about what access you need to grant and how to revoke it after you're done:https://pruvisto.org/debirdify/Found a few new folks to follow using it. I'll run it again in a week or so. Would be great to see this as a first class feature on joinmastodon.org (cc @Gargron).

       @lioh @pruvisto Fedifinder says "Because of Twitter API rate limiting, only the most recent 3000 followings are looked at" - I'm curious if Debirdify has the same limitation? (Not that many accounts are likely to run into that limitation -- but it would still be good to document if it's a limit for both tools.)

       @jdaviescoates @eloquence @lioh Yes, 5000 is correct. You can only query 1000 at a time and there is some rate limiting (I think 15 requests in a 15 minute interval).So in principle I could make this higher. I set it to 5000 because one of the people who tested it had 4300 or so.
