@vbatts @jwildeboerYeah, it's time to move on, no matter how much we liked that space.The fediverse can be confusing to people who are accustomed to centralized modern social spaces, but it's not *that* hard to get used to.(I was around for the BBS FidoNet days, so this kind of decentralization is totally familiar to me.)

@vbatts @jwildeboer Basically that. There are plenty of instances out there, and G+ is now far enough in the rear-view mirror that we should encourage new associations.I'm not against more instances popping up, it's just that the value in this feels low now.

@ToddVierling @vbatts Sure. But for some it could be the little offer that moves them in to the fediverse. Even if only to migrate to another instance as soon as the feel more comfortable. Worth a try. If it works, cool. If not, shrug.
