@hs0ucy @potato_lisper Yeah, somebody posted about that a while ago.It seems at least one Dutch newspaper advertised moving to Mastodon and said SDF was the most stable instance or some such.

@ParadeGrotesque@hs0ucy it's very hard to educate those people about netiquette. Most of them will be gone in a week, writing posts about how fediverse is bad because people here are awful and require things from me. On the positive side, this is very good filter for us.

@ParadeGrotesque also doesn't help that some well-meaning individuals are boosting EVERY new person's message. I understand what they're doing and generally applaud them for it, but it does get a bit much after 100 boosts.Ah well, just give it a week and we'll mostly be back to normal.
