alright friends. i spent all of today hashing out legalese for our managed hosting. i sought advice from legal people, from people who dont understand legal shit and people who understand hosting and also some legal shit and we managed to come up with something we are all okay with tomorrow we are hoping to launch. for anyone involved in our pilot project where we tested deployment and maintenance, you should have received an email with an option to migrate your service to paid or export it to host yourself. for anyone else looking to host their instance, tomorrow sometime we will be live for sales. initial spots are limited to 13, we will continue to add hardware as demand increases, and hopefully we will support a waiting list in the event we do run out before the weekend as our hardware is built to order and takes 2-3 days to be delivered we look forward to hosting any of you who want the experience but not the headache or hassle beyond pay and forget:btrfly:

@sybirak users can pay 15$/mo and get fair share of 2.5 core, 4.5-5GB ram and 300GB hdd to have managed soapbox+rebased hosted we do automated database maintenance, the servers are maintained and everything is done for you. you just buy/import a domain, set and forget it quite literally you can barely find VPS worth while to even use at 15$/mo price point let alone with all your database and instance shit managed

@OGrandeEleitor we don't allow what got kiwifarms taken offline. there's three boogeymen of free speech. by not allowing any of them, we are most likely fine. we have contingency failover in the event a host drops us built in to the solution both on a replication and on the DNS level but the likelihood is very slim. we would lose the ability to process payment long before we would lose hosting -- which is covered by crypto

@graf fedposting is done specifically by feds like Baked Alaska to entrap people like Sig into thinking there are no limits to free speech and to deliberately induce greater censorship in the Internet. The feds get away with it, the useful idiots get entrapped, but since it's not genuine schizoposting it's a glowop and, thus, fedposting.
