One thing that really stood out to me about this current #TwitterMigration is that the people who are migrating are such wonderful and loving people who are just looking for a better digital home :blobcatsnuggle: ❤️ I mean, in the past we've had more migrations but not always very plessant so to say😇 But this time I am so happy to see we already have much in common :fediverse: :cat_hug_triangle: This makes our lives as admins a lot easier, trust me! :blobcathearts: Thank you

@stux definitely one of the nicest migrations I've seen.I'd like to see someone make an instance for this influx of user TBH, maybe let some former #Twitter mods run it or something. We've seen how this works with the exodus due to censorship in #India, as well as the exoduses that flooded #Spinster and #Poast. I'd like to see what an instance dedicated to serving these new users might look like.

@stux And still I read so often over on twitter "I'm not giving up on twitter because it's the only place we have for global discussions" - as if there were just no alternative. People don't understand that they have different email providers, mobile phone providers, too. And still can talk to everybody.

@stux I'm seeing a lot of smart people--scientists, historians, academics--who are moderate or apolitical (in their tweets, anyway) sharing their new Mastodon accounts and mostly saying they'll be on both platforms for the foreseeable future. Not the hot-headed types I've seen in previous #TwitterMigrations. (Note: Some of them were pretty cool, too, ire notwithstanding.) Mastodon is going to be a lot more interesting if these folks stick around!

@stux Yeah most of the time I keep my thoughts/opinions to myself on Twitter because too many people are just looking to argue. It's exhausting. Can't count how many times I've seen a Tweet and decided it was better to not respond to it knowing it could cause problems.

@stux The reason of migration is the key. Same happened when people moved from IG to VERO. All good photography lovers.Same is the case with Mastodon. Loving the experience here even though it’s not even 24hrs for me on here 😊
