Decided we're watching Killer Klowns from Outer Space as we had just got it that week and I loved it. Immediately- seconds into the movie- the laughter over the opening credits causes my friend to go into an apoplectic fit, weeping, freaked out. His mom has to take him home. I'm annoyed because I wanted to show my friend the space murder clown movie, but it's ok because it's my birthday and I'm watching the space murder clown movie while playing with my new Ninja Turtle toys. Clowns never bothered me. Monsters, demons, whatever- Predator was one of my favorite movies when I was old enough to put a laserdisc into the player by myself. What creeped me out was grey aliens- those Time Life Books ads about alien encounters, Fire in the Sky, X-Files. That creeped me out hard even into my young teen years.
