       @ogre_fucker @DireGoy Jews don't consider Halakha to be a series of rules that bind. That's how Indo-Europeans think laws work. Rather, for Jews, Halakha is a surface that Yahweh gave them to act upon. They aren't weaseling out of something that they're supposed to do anymore than an airplane is for working against gravity. Halakha is just the way that the world works, and Yahweh rewards them for taking advantage of it. For example, Kashrut, which we see as dietary limitations, is seen by the Jews as a tool for getting and keeping a Jew-owned meat industry. Muslims also see Shariah this way.
