Yeah it’s weird…haven’t dug into #Fediverse drama in awhile but last I heard, #Pleroma was divided over it, leading to the creation of #Akkoma, but then some folks were saying that #Akkoma was DOA because it wasn’t being actively developed or something…glad to hear that’s not true

I’d recommend respecting the #Mastodon devs’ wishing and instead of beating them over the head about their bad decision, reaching out to the #GlitchSoc or #Hometown maintainers. They’re both forks of #Mastodon, and may receive these recommendations more warmly.
