@CatboyCumDump when I was using windows, I could listen to podcasts, play vidya and also video edit and it would generally be ok for most low end games

If youre upgrading Id go for 64 minimum. I remember when they told me 32 was way excessive and future proof. Computing power doubles every so often apparently but the real problem is bloat, people just stop designing things streamlined, and every update just eats more and and more and makes the problem worse

@Torquemada @Terry at this point I think I might just wait a year and invest in a full new system because my rig is PCIe 3 and DDR4, so I can't even get the best of the best rn. And finding a decent 4k ready card for PCIe 3 seems difficult too.

@Terry I have a 3GB graphics card and stable diffusion wipes out my card (can't even use it with some settings) and my ram to the point I'm afraid to even try to play doom in parallel lol, I can sorta browse the web. Mpv playing something isn't too bad.

Thats what I'm planning on doing next time I upgrade, my gaming PC was an absolute beast 3 years ago but its already been surpassed. Theres no way to keep up if you want top of the line, but to be honest you dont need that much unless you're doing something that specifically requires that huge processing speed/power.Hell the laptop I use for work can run most games on decent settings and its only 8, but I want to make the most out of my TV, theres no point paying the extra for a big ass Idiocracy scale 4K TV if I cant even run shit at max, so the next time I upgrade I might just start from scratch and give my youngest the one I use now, eldest has her own PS5 anyway she earned herself.

Lol second hand from a pawn shop. I couldn't believe it myself, I've seen plenty of the new XBox's actually but theres been a couple of PS5's in.
