I use XFCE which hasn't changed it's ui since 2003. I wish all software simply got to a point where the interface was good, and refined it, rather than throwing it out and making it worse every two years to satisfy some designer's faggotry.

XFCE is good stuff. I usually use Cinnamon. It’s not as old, but it’s similar in the sense that the devs aren’t constantly trying to reinvent or change things. My config stays strong throughout the years

I’ve played around with a bunch of different ones, and I just settled into Cinnamon for some reason. I couldn’t really tell you why. My first experience of Linux was when Ubuntu was originally trying to make Unity a thing. Then I went to Fedora for a while, but I don’t even remember what DE they used back then. Bounced around for a while and just picked it for some reason
