wanted to play some Apex, but now I'm suddenly getting kicked by the anti-cheat, because I'm playing in a virtual machine :akko_sad2: it's weird, because I already played more than 100 hours and it wasn't an issue beforewhy is proprietary software like this

@yuri That's a fear I have after setting up a qemu / virt-manage managed VM is that it wouldn't work, anyway for whatever reason. On a somewhat related note, one thing I've been trying to do is getting windows 11 working in a VM. I think I need to make local TPM keys / emulate secure boot somehow? I'm actually not sure haha

@astral oh it's actually pretty easy to set up a windows 11 vm with virt-manager. I installed windows 11 for my gaming vm and all I had to do additionally was selecting "Customize configuration before install" when creating the vm and setting "Firmware" to "UEFI x86_64: /usr/share/edk2-ovmf/x64/OVMF_CODE.secboot.fd" and add an emulated TPM device via the "Add Hardware" button with "Model: TIS" and "Version: 2.0".

@yuri Ah, I see. One other thing I need to do is set up a virtual bridge. Gentoo doesn't do this automatically and must be done manually as far as I can tell. If I ever get that working, I'll try out your tips. ^^
