Signups have really been picking up later today. According to @mastodonusercount, the #Fediverse has gained roughly 6k users in the past two hours alone. The chart has a dramatically steep incline towards the current hour.

Update: 49,215 new users across different Mastodon servers since yesterday. Probably a lot of them are actually from yesterday. My crawler only runs once a day so I get a bit of a delayed view of things.

If we count baraag.net (which seems unreachable for a couple of hours, though this happens sometimes; http://demo.fedilist.com/instance/baraag.net ), there are 5,956,402 accounts on fedi at time of writing.
