@dallin I think the greed may lie with many of the peripherals...I suspect some nerds over at #Apple started this trend of moving towards smaller, more powerful ports, and fewer of them, because not only are the ports better, but they assumed everyone would adopt the new standards. Alas, those selling the peripherals refused to switch to new ports or wireless technology, selling dongles and adapters instead as adapters for their adapters.
