       Few days ago I setup a Gitea instance for my projects for a little better overview but after reading their latest news I changed it to Gitlab.. It's simply running on the Yuno server but with closed signups since I gotta keep diskspace!But feel free to download / use whatever you like :gitlab: https://gitcat.org

       @stux my company switched from GitLab to Gitea because of how many times GitLab had horrible crashes for us haha

       @slylittlefox @stux Sorry if I’m being ignorant here. However GitLab is developed by a profit making business, why is Gitea doing the same to get its developers paid while maintaining the open source license such a big issue?

       @pch_xyz @stux @slylittlefox This admittedly sheds a different light on things for me. I think what has been said in that thread about VCs wanting secrecy and exclusivity is probably true. I am still optimistic that this ultimately just leads to more money and resources being funnelled towards the open source project but we’ll have to see…
