@ramichaelseidlitz Keine dieser Distributionen wollte ich auf meinem Rechner, Devuan wäre mir bspw. lieber. Das Installieren des Systems wollte ich auch niemandem überlassen. Wovon ich träume ist ein Rechner mit freier Hardware. Freie Software kann ich frei wählen und so installieren, wie es mir passt.

@jcb Mir ging es auch mehr um die Spezifikationen des Laptops als um die Linux-Distributionen.

@ramichaelseidlitz Ja, das glaube ich. Ich arbeite mit einem alten ThinkPad T410s mit Devuan/LXQt drauf. SSD ist verbaut. Das läuft hervorragend, ist sehr schnell, es ist erfreulich damit zu arbeiten. Diese Hardware kostet refurbished vielleicht €220. Das ist günstig, tatsächlich nachhaltig. Wir brauchen meist keinen SUV, kein 400-PS-Auto.
