I need some help:The investigator says she can't accept electronic links to files. I have a copy of the discussion between my manager and me that is pivotal to my case on my drive, and she's rejected that method of access.I tried to compress the file and it's still too big to email. Gmail only will send 25MB and this compressed to 100mb so it's still way too large to send.

@Phil She can't save the link to the Dropbox. It has to be a file, period. I have the file in my Google drive and when I sent her the link to access it, she said she couldn't add a link as evidence. It has to be emailed as a stand-alone.

@MMA I use Dropbox to send my tax info to my accountant. Upload to a folder and share the folder. I think the free account allows 2gb of storage which is a lot for just documents.

I am not technologically savvy enough to figure out how to split the conversation into pieces so I can provide them through email. I am going to try to research that as soon as I'm off work. That seems to be my only option, since compressing the file didn't work. I compressed an .mp file. Would I have a better chance with compressing a .wav file?

@MMA Use a decent archiver program. I recommend 7zip, since it's pretty much the king of archiving, but winrar should be able to do it too. Poke around in the options, should be a way to make a split archive where you specify the max size of each part.

Will always be larger than an .MP# file..MP# are a lossy format, which means each time it is opened quality of the audio will be lost.Did you ask if using a Drop Box is acceptable?I'd try to contact the Tech people and email to them, they can verify the files are clean.

@TinyHouse4Life It's a taped conversation between my manager and me.It basically is proof that he's lied repeatedly and he was aware that I was being abused by the senior auditor. Plus, he didn't promote me and the reasons were all because she made me look bad to him. We went over that. Also, he said he'd revisit it in 3 months and then he double crossed me when I circled back.I wrote a memo of conversation but that's something the manager will challenge. He can't challenge the tape.

@MMA I use mp3 quality modifier to change the bit rate. You can go down to 32 bits per second and it should be ok.There are a bunch of options for how you do it. I make the rate constant and 32 bits/min to save lots of old radio shows in less space. How long is it (in duration)?If they don't accept even Google Drive links and you aren't able to get those programs to work, if you were to split the file up and send each part separately, using mp3 format you can get about 24 minutes onto 25 mb (the largest allowable file size to send an email attachment without a link).If you need help I could probably split it up and send it back pretty easily. @MMA @joenarcoleptic @Phil @scottmitchellrose

I used Audacity to split the larger file into several smaller files and sent it that way.Audacity is free and open source:https://www.audacityteam.org/Easy peasy. You can do it yourself. @MMA 7zip is freeware. Might be open source, I don't recall.There is a 7zip port to android, I keep it around just in case. I don't know if it can make split archives though.winrar is a meme because it's a 30-day trial but it will never actually prohibit you doing anything if you don't pay. tbh it doesn't really have anything going for it.
