@nicemicro A USB daemon, namely udisks2. To make your life easier, use udiskie in conjunction with it.

@nicemicro none, I do it manually, as root, since I don't need it often. setting up an automounter would just add another level of complexity for no big gain

@nicemicro And obviously you need an NTFS file-system driver. On Arch it's called ntfs-3g
