@SoyMagnus @neil This is why it makes sense to yank statutory rape laws.The law runs into a contradiction: minors technically cannot agree to contracts or other adult actions.So by law they cannot give consent.Therefore we have statutory rape laws.I would prefer to simply indemnify the parents for shooting anyone over 18 who has had sex with the child under 18.

@opal @neil @SoyMagnus I think it screws up spatial awareness.The biggest risk of drunk drivers is that they pass out, skip lines, and head-on hit someone else.Those are usually fatalities.

@opal @neil @SoyMagnus I love a good smoke when driving, but I am a pipe and cigar smoker, so there's not the jarring jolt followed by crash of cigarettes. This is easier on avoiding those jitters that you describe.I can't imagine being on cocaine. The drug just scares me period.

@opal @neil @SoyMagnus The caffeine jitters and leg twitches can be a beast. I tend to like to sip it slowly and work it for a few hours. You have to be OK with cold coffee though, which turns a lot of people off.

@amerika @opal @neil @SoyMagnus I can drink cold brewed coffee cold, but cold hot brewed coffee tastes off to me :shrugz: I use a french press so it's not too hard to make one or two cups at a time. I don't have to heat water though (I have a water dispenser with hot/cold tanks)

@amerika @neil @SoyMagnus im with you on cigars, i have never had a cigarettecocaine's alright, crack was fucking annoying. had that once too and the next day my body just felt really heavy. for the life of me i dont understand how people get addicted to it, i dont have an addictive personality at all and its easy for me to stop using "addictive" drugs because i dont like feeling like shit on the comedown

@doorroo @SoyMagnus @neil @opal This is all true. My go-to basic tobacco is Prince Albert. I love a good briar, have never owned Meerschaum or steel, but also thoroughly enjoy my cobs. They are surprisingly resilient, do not ghost, and if you accidentally drop one off a fifth-story roof, it is not financially the end of the world.
