@spacebuffer An even better question, why is there a book called "how to take smart notes"? What is a smart note anyway? I thought all a note was a small bit of information written down to help you remember it later. Even if there is a "smart" way to do it, can't this just be explained in a blogpost? Why is there a whole book dedicated to it? I'm legitimately confused 😐

It's like staying awake late at night to read a book called "Why we sleep" 😅

@person It's all seriousness the book in genuinely helpful, it teaches you the zettlekasten method of note-takingand how you should structure your notes and link them togetherso instead of taking notes and organizing them into folders you take notes in one big pile and then link them up creating something that resembles the human brain (because the brain doesn't store information in folders like we do in real life) that's why some people call this method "the second brain"

@person if you want to learn more you can:- Try out Obsidian, it's a free app made to implement this method and yesterday they had their first non-beta release https://obsidian.md- Check out the channel "Linking your Thinking" on youtube, it's all about note taking and it's creator nick milo uses Obsidian himself
