       Gideon Ofnir spends the whole game saying Tarnished have to work together so one of them can become Elden Lord. supposedly he wants it for himself too. then he attacks you at the end of the game for no reason beyond "I don't believe it's actually possible"Marika betrayed, divorced, and banished Godfrey. why the fuck is he hanging out in front of her bedroom protecting her and why does he become a bad anime cartoon wrestler guywhat the fuck does it mean that Radagon is actually Marika. how can Marika and Radagon each have separate bodies and have children both together and with other third parties and be the same person. what the fuck does that actually mean. it doesn't sound nearly as good on paper as it did in your head Georgefor that matter how the fuck can you kill Gurranq ("Maliketh") in Farum Azula but he's still alive in Caelid. mutatis mutandis for Morgott/Margit. in GRRM's faglore they're literally the same person. it's like they gave up on trying to have it make sense halfway through and also refused to cut anything

       @DK_Dharmaraj I'd understand this critique if it was for any other game series, but FromSoft has a history of creating games whose lore is only vaguely tied together, I see Elden Ring as that but expanded to a much bigger world. They weren't trying to create a world that you as a human would imagine yourself living in and expecting it to have some sort of human-graspable logic, it's supposed to be a blending of different feelings and aesthetics.

       @DK_Dharmaraj for gurranq / beast clergyman, I took it as farum azula was another dimension or somehow different than the present in the lands between, thus allowing gurranq to be in both places simultaneously. this made sense to me considering the "time travel" to fight placidusax and the "warp" abilities the farum dragons have,  but then I discovered that you can get there from the 4 belfries too and not just by melina's sacrifice and it killed my theory for me lmao
