I have never been overweight but I imagine it would be daunting task to regain a semblance of healthy weight. I applaud all who have managed to do so

@Woodbutcher I commended a friend of mine for starting an exercise routine and dropping 30 lbs, saying most people are incapable of that change. He was surprised to hear that, believing that most people reasonably could achieve what he did. After dealing with his other friends for a year he told me he understood what I meant.

@Woodbutcher It's a great positive feedback loop once it becomes habit. When you get there many other things fall in place and you feel great. Building up the momentum is hard tho, which is why most people won't

@Woodbutcher Actually the reduction of plat-based foods and the increased intake of meat is what will reduce weight. It seems counter-intuitive but the science has been here for 80 years. Also, since you get satiated more easily with dense proteins, you don't eat as much. Moral of the story - lay off the starches and stick to met.

@Woodbutcher I lost 60 lbs and everyday i fight the decisions that led me to that weight. I am constantly fighting the fat kid inside me.

@vandys @Woodbutcher See, this is why noone gets fit ever.You must not talk about it as a lifestyle, because that leads to this absolutely depressive language.Yes, I am starving myself right now, but I am not planning on starving myself forever. It is a one off process, that might eventually need repeating, but knowing, that in 6 months I will be done no matter what helps me keep my sanity.
