@shibao but the realtor emails I get are saying it’s “cooling off some”. And my estimated value has dropped a couple thousand. But yeah. It’s still crazy as eff. We bought this place 3 years ago and it’s insane how much it’s gone up in value over that three years. The youngin we hired earlier this year is in the same boat. He keeps looking but is having a bitch of a time finding anything good for a decent price.

@Finner @shibao We've been looking for a house to buy and you wouldn't believe how many times we've been looking at a house when the realtor gets a call and lets us know an investor has bought the house, cash, for far over asking price. I can't compete with that.

@shibao @tskaalgard yeah we did have a tough time when we bought this place too . Dealt with the same thing. Every house we went to look at was off the market the day it went on for more than the asking price. Bidding wars left and right. It’s so frustrating dealing with that. Right now it seems houses are starting to sit on the market a little longer though, which is why they are saying it’s cooling off some.

@shibao @tskaalgard I probably told you before, we had started looking at land from TR all the way out to Cleveland. Looked at a couple lots in Marietta. But then we didn’t want to get stuck in 30-45 minute commutes all the time to get to work. For me it wouldn’t have been too bad. I work from home half the week anyway. But Elle can’t body wax remotely. Haha.

@tskaalgard @shibao originally I wanted to go a little more that route. Was looking for about 4-6 acres. Instead, wound up going for 1 acre on a steep mountain side for the view. Muffed it all up.
